Cloncurry
Description
250 predominantly #3 Brahman heifers located 106 km North of Cloncurry. Majority of these heifers were #3’s but there is probably 8-12 #2 heifers in the mob. Approximately 62% of the mob are grey, 10% red, 10% black and brindle Brahmans and 10 % are Brangus and 8% Charbray. The heifers look to range in weight from about 200kg -350kg and I estimate they would average 250-270 kg.
The heifers vary in quality from very good to fair with a few poddy looking heifers that could be rejected at point of sale. These heifers have been bred on red sandy country grassed with Spinifex, Buffel with patches of Mitchell and Flinders and from past experiences I know these heifers do extremely well when moved to better pastures.
The heifers have not been joined and as far as client knew no bulls have been in with them. Of the ones I saw about 10% had small horns and another 20% had some regrowth. There heifers are located nort of the tick line so will need clearing if going to clean country. Vendor will guarantee they clear dip or will clear them on farm.
There is 3 family brands in the mob and they are bred from very fertile medium frame cows. The majority of these heifers would be suitable to breed from or spay and put away for live export feeder heifers.
